Mystic Cymbals is a French brand of cymbals made in Istanbul, the ancient empire of Constantinople. Turkish know-how is recognized by all. A carefully hammered cymbal (crash, ride, etc.) lets the sound qualities flourish in the drummer's ear.

 

Any self-respecting drummer knows that to sound an acoustic drum correctly, the choice of material is an important factor.

The elements that make up a drum kit are numerous. Bass drum and toms (wooden or metallic), hi-hat, ride cymbal, crash cymbal and snare, are the basics of a complete drum set.

The vibration of a cymbal played, the accents that explode in your ears, the search for an exclusive sound or one that comes out of normal, this is all that Mystic cymbals will bring you.

All our cymbals are made of B20, which is to date the most used alloy for the manufacture of high-end cymbals. This mixture is similar to what is called bell bronze. Brass is used for the production of low-end cymbals.

The B20 alloy is mainly composed of 80% copper and 20% tin. This allows a good balance in the harmonics, and also gives it a certain flexibility.

It is possible, depending on the desired tone, to play on many different factors. Indeed the size of the bell (also called dome), the diameters of the different cymbals, the thickness of material for, for example the ping of a ride, but also the finish ... All this will give a different sound to each family of cymbal.

The manufacturing method like hammering and chiselling (turning) plays a lot in the result of the final tone and even on the harmonics.

 

We can offer you different cymbal finishes to have your own sound, your own identity:

• polished (mirror-like shiny)

• shiny on the whole surface or not

• chiseled (gloss less important than polishing)

• more or less hammered.

It is also possible to drill the cymbals in order to fix rivets or bells.
